What are the materials that can be plated?
It can be plated onto a variety of materials. For example, metals, plastics, ceramics, carbons and composite materials. The following is one example.
It is possible to plate onto stainless steel (SUS), iron, copper, brass, aluminum, titanium, Kovar, Invar, Crofer, Hastelloy and so on.
It is possible to plate onto polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), polyether sulfone (PES), polyimide (PI), an epoxy resin, a fluorine resin, a liquid crystal polymer (LCP), polyetherimide (PEI), polyetheretherketone (PEEK) and so on.
It is possible to plate onto alumina（Al2O3）,zirconia（ZrO2）,zinc oxide, barium titanate（BaTiO3）,lead zirconate titanate（PZT）,aluminum nitride（AlN）,silicon carbide（SiC）,silicon nitride（SiN）,machinable ceramics and so on.
It is possible to plate onto quartz glass, non-alkali glass, borosilicate glass, soda glass and so on.
Not only carbon plate, it is also possible to plate onto carbon fiber.
Metal matrix composites (MMC)
It is possible to plate onto aluminum – silicon carbide (AlSiC), copper – silicon carbide (CuSiC), silicon – silicon carbide (SiSiC), aluminum – carbon (AlC), copper – carbon (CuC), copper – molybdenum (CuMo), copper – tungsten (CuW) and so on.
Fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP)
It is possible to plate onto carbon fiber reinforced plastics (CFRP), glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP)
